Tests and what they mean
Explore an interactive body to build your panel, then browse the full catalogue below, grouped by area of the body. Each entry tells you what it measures and one honest reason someone might choose it. A licensed prescriber authorizes every requisition.
This is a starting catalogue, not the full menu. The menu is extensive and always growing. If you do not see a test you want, you can request any available test, no matter the price, and if it is appropriate your prescriber can authorize it. Write to us to ask for anything not listed here.
Listing a test here does not mean it is right for you. Results are information, not a diagnosis.
There are two kinds of test on this page, and each one says which it is. Most carry Prescriber authorized: a licensed BC prescriber reviews your request and authorizes the requisition, or declines a test that is not appropriate for you. A small number carry Direct order: the laboratory sells these without a requisition, so no prescriber is involved and you can order them on their own. In the panel builder below, switch to "No prescriber needed" to see only those.

The nutrients, in one table
Thirteen tests. Most people who ask about vitamins are asking about B12 and D, and those two are the ones most often found low. The rest are worth measuring rather than guessing, because for several of them too much is a problem as well as too little. Iron is in the General Diagnostic section of the catalogue below.

Prices are placeholders until confirmed with the laboratory. Adding a test here puts it in the same panel as the body map above. A prescriber authorizes every requisition; direct-order tests are sold by the laboratory without one.
