Premium membership, or pay as you build
Vytals is a premium, private, self-pay platform. It is not billed to MSP, and we never imply MSP coverage. There are two ways to pay: an annual Vytals membership that bundles a comprehensive program, or a one-time panel that you build test by test. You see each cost clearly before you commit, and nothing is bundled or hidden.
The Vytals membership
Our flagship way to use Vytals: a comprehensive, year-round program for people who want to know where they stand and watch it over time.
Vytals membership
C$699 per year
Placeholder price, to be confirmed before launch.
Your membership includes:
- A comprehensive baseline panel to establish where you stand.
- A second comprehensive draw about six months later, to see how things are trending.
- On-demand add-ons through the year, at member pricing.
- Your private results portal, with trends tracked over time.
- Prescriber authorization for every requisition, included.
One-time: build a panel
Pay as you build
Prefer not to join? You can build a single panel test by test and pay once. You still get prescriber authorization, the laboratory draw, and your results in your private portal. The three flows below show exactly what a one-time panel costs.
Publicly funded lab tests ordered through your family doctor are covered by MSP. Vytals is a different, private path for people who want to explore specific tests on their own initiative. Because it is private and self-pay, these costs are yours to pay directly and are not submitted to MSP or any public plan.
What you pay, and to whom
When you build a one-time panel, or add on tests as a member, here is how the costs break down. Each flow is shown separately, and none of them are bundled or hidden.
Prescriber authorization fee
To be confirmed
Paid to the service for the clinical review that authorizes your requisition. Authorization is a clinical decision, so this fee covers the prescriber's review whether or not every requested test is approved. It is not a guarantee that a given test will be authorized.
Laboratory test fees
To be confirmed
Paid to the contracted laboratory for the tests you actually have done. This amount varies with the tests you choose. As examples to confirm, our reference catalogue lists ApoE at $175 and NfL at $350; these two are illustrative examples only, not final prices.
Optional add-ons
To be confirmed
Optional fees for extras you can choose, such as a home or mobile blood draw, specialty panels, and, in a later phase, imaging and cancer screening. You can also book a conversation with a clinician from the prescriber network to walk you through your results. You only pay for the add-ons you select.
How pricing shows up as you build
Do prices update as I choose tests?
Yes. As you add or remove tests in the interactive builder, the running estimate updates live so there are no surprises. At checkout you get a clean breakdown that separates the prescriber authorization fee, the laboratory test fees, and any optional add-ons, so you can see exactly what each amount is for.
How do I pay?
Payment is handled through a Canadian-compliant payment processor. You will see the total and the itemized breakdown before you confirm, and nothing is charged for the laboratory tests until a prescriber has authorized the requisition.
Why are prices marked "to be confirmed"?
Final prices are set with our laboratory partner and confirmed before launch. The ApoE ($175) and NfL ($350) figures above are examples drawn from a reference catalogue, shown to illustrate the range, and they are subject to confirmation. Please treat all amounts on this page as placeholders until launch.
